On his trip, Scott, together with his identical twin brother Mark on Earth, paved the way for the future of space travel and exploration as the subjects of an unprecedented NASA study on how space affects the human body. With awe-inspiring stories from space and personal reflections on leadership, teamwork and testing limits, Scott inspires others to believe that they can reach any goal, no matter how ambitious or audacious. As he looks back on the expedition that shuttled him into history books, we will revel in the presence of a true American hero and gather unique takeaways on persistence, resilience and self-determination that transform the way they view their own journey through life. Pre-show activities: We encourage you to arrive one-hour early to whet your appetite for Captain Kelly's talk and participate in a series of space-related activities! We will have a space suit from NASA on display, a prototype of the first oxygen tank used in outer space, actual wheels from the Mars rover as well as activities that relate to the effects of gravity on the human body, life in space and the whys and hows of orbit. Be sure to bring your camera! In addition to these activities, we will also be selling Captain Kelly's books! After his performance is concluded Captain Kelly will be autographing them in the lobby.
