DESCRIPTION:June 1\, 2018 has been proclaimed Hunger Awareness Day in\n\nSan Luis Obispo County.\n\n"One Day\, One Dollar\, One Big Challenge to Feed the Hungry"\n\nYou can make a significant difference in the life of a hungry individual.\n\n1 in 6 people are hungry in SLO County.\n\n40% are children.\n\n20% are seniors.\n\nAll are our neighbors.\nThis signature event takes place on the first Friday in June.  Over 25 donation sites are set up from 7am to 7pm in Cambria\, Paso Robles\, Atascadero\, Morro Bay\, Cayucos\, Los Osos\, San Luis Obispo\, Grover Beach\, Arroyo Grande\, Pismo Beach\, and Nipomo.  With live radio and TV coverage and a large social media presence\, the community support from businesses\, clubs\, schools\, civic groups\, families and individuals is tremendous.  Our goal is $100\,000 one dollar at a time.  \n\nHow your business or group can help:\n\n \n\nVolunteer!            Sign up your business/group to volunteer at a collection site near you on Hunger                                             Awareness Day- Friday\, June 1\, 2018. Wear your business attire with logo.  We will put a                               photo of your volunteer participation on our social media that very day! \n\n \n\nFundraise!           Collect funds/hold a fundraiser and drop funds off at a donation site near you on June 1\,                                            2018. We will put your funds presentation photo on our social media- Facebook\, Instagram and                                 Twitter right away!\n\n \n\nSponsor!              Officially sponsor the event at one of the 3 levels:\n\n                              $10\,000 Presenting Sponsor\, $5\,000 Premium Sponsor\, $2\,500 Supporting Sponsor\n\n                               (Logo must be received by March 30\, 2018 in order to have it placed on flyer & t-shirt)\n\n \n\nAdvocate!            Post our flyer at your business and spread the word about this important day!  Skip a meal in                                   the Month of May and post about it on social media with #HungerAwarenessDay2018.
