City of Paso Robles Accepting Applications for Planning Commission and Housing Authority
PASO ROBLES, CA – The City of Paso Robles is currently seeking applicants for open positions on the Planning Commission and the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Residents with an interest in community development and housing initiatives are encouraged to apply.
JOIN THE PLANNING COMMISSION – RECRUITING FOR TWO (2) POSITIONS
The Planning Commission plays a key role in approving and evaluating:
- Conditional Use Permits
- Parcel Maps
- Planned Developments
- Site Plans
- Subdivisions
- Zoning Variances
Key Details:
- Meetings: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, 6:30 PM, City Hall Conference Center.
- Term: 3 years, expiring February 29, 2028.
- Application Deadline: January 31, 2025.
- Commitment: Commissioners dedicate approximately 15–20 hours monthly, including rotational assignments on the Development Review Committee.
JOIN THE HOUSING AUTHORITY – RECRUITING FOR TWO (2) TENANT COMMISSIONERS-ONE AT LEAST 62 YEARS OLD
The Housing Authority oversees Oak Park Public Housing, a 148-unit apartment complex providing affordable housing for lower-income households in Paso Robles.
Key Details:
- Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of each month, 5:00 PM, 901 30th Street, Paso Robles.
- Term: 4 years, expiring February 28, 2029.
- Eligibility: Two tenant commissioners must reside in the Authority, and one must be at least 62 years old.
- Application Deadline: January 31, 2025.
