Pedestrian Improvements Installed on South River Road
Paso Robles, CA – The City of Paso Robles is pleased to announce the completion of the Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) installation project at South River Road. The project enhances pedestrian and cyclist safety at the intersection of South River Road and Serenade, providing improved visibility and crossing efficiency. In addition to the RRFB, the project also included:
- Lane Buffer Improvement: The designated lane buffer at the intersection of South River Road and Serenade was refreshed to enhance safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
- Bike Lane Adjustment: Modifications have been made to the bike lane at the south end of the project limits to improve cyclist accessibility.
- Tree Trimming for Visibility: Necessary tree trimming has been completed to ensure clear visibility of the westernmost RRFB.
The RRFB system is designed to increase driver awareness at pedestrian crossings, with bright, rapidly flashing lights activated when a pedestrian is present. This project underscores the City’s ongoing commitment to improving transportation safety and accessibility for all residents and visitors.
The City of Paso Robles thanks the community for its patience and cooperation during the completion of this project.
