Starting November 19th and going through November 22nd the Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services Department will be performing live fire training at 2924 Union Road, this is the location of the new fire station and training center.

The Fire Department is hosting a Fire Control 3 class which will allow our firefighters to be trained and mentored to teach this class in the future. The class goes into detail about fire behavior, flow path, and firefighting techniques as well as the safety steps needed to ensure a safe training environment.

It is a requirement that firefighters have at least 1 live fire evolution annually according to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). This requirement has been difficult for the Fire Department to attain as we did not have a training site to perform the needed exercises. With the purchase of the Fire Station 3 site and the continued funding and support from J-20, we are able to go out to bid to construct a fire and police training facility that will hopefully be completed in 2025.
