The shelter in place has been lifted as of 3PM today, June 10.
The SLO County Sheriff's Office and Paso Robles Police Department tell residents to remain out of the downtown.
They are still processing the 5 shooting sites throughout Paso Robles.
Residents in the downtown area of Paso Robles were asked to shelter in place Wednesday morning as law enforcement searched for an active shooter suspect.
A photo of the suspect was distributed during the press conference hosted by the SLO County Sheriff's Office at 3PM. The shooter was described as male, 20-30-years old, Hispanic, 5'8", 150-160lbs, with dark curly hair and a beard.
Chief Lewis of the Paso Robles Police Department encourages the shooter to turn himself in now.

The incident is considered as a planned ambush to harm or kill law enforcement.
The body found on the railroad tracks is considered to have been linked to the active shooter. The victim was described as a 58-year old male transient.
The Deputy who was airlifted to a trauma center sustained serious injury and identity is not given at this time.
