SBA Update
The EIDL and PPP applications are paused as of  10 a.m. April 16. The SBA will not accept any more applications until more funding is appropriated by the Treasury. Any EIDL and PPP applicants who have already submitted their applications will continue to be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. You will not have to re-apply if you have already submitted. As soon as we learn more, we will let you know.

With this in mind, Governor Newsom announced that Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), for sole proprietors and independent contractors applications, will be available starting  April 28. Applicants will be issued checks within 24 - 48 hours.  Find more information about the PUA  here. Additional Resources:

CAO Wade Horton s hared that even as saving lives remains a primary focus, plans for reopening our economy are underway. SLO County has assembled a team of medical, business and academic experts who will coordinate with REACH in assembling a roadmap for re-entry here on the Central Coast. State Senator Bill Monning d iscussed projections that state revenue could drop by half, emergency legislation to fund schools, and efforts to draw up a status-quo budget for passage in June. SLO Public Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein a dded that reopening will not be a light switch but more likely a gradual lifting of restrictions and recommendations driven by public health considerations. (Source: Atascadero Chamber)
