Mead Release Weekend

Join us in the tasting room for our inaugural release of our Thistle Mead! Our Assistant Winemaker Patrick Doyle will be here on Friday, September 30th to tell us all about this ancient beverage and why Ancient Peaks chose to highlight this medieval libation.

About our Mead: Ancients Peak's new honey wine, "Thistle" is a new take on an ancient beverage. Similar in character to a fine white wine, this barrel-fermented mead comes from honey produced by bee colonies at Santa Margarita Ranch. Here, the bees generate their honey from the nectar of the ranch's abundant yellow star thistle, providing a unique sense of terroir that shines through this mead.
