Manufacturing Technician $20/hour

Work Schedule: 20 hours per week
The Manufacturing Techinician supports the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure efficient production, product quality, and customer satisfaction. This role assists with production activities, packaging, inventory coordination, customer support, and website-related operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Packaging
- Assist with production preparation, including organizing ingredients, equipment, and work areas.
- Support the blending and preparation process according to established recipes and procedures.
- Ensure products are properly packaged, sealed, and stored.
- Apply accurate labeling to finished products in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production environment.
- Assist with inventory management of ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers when needed to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Support basic vendor communication and supply tracking.
- Assist with manufacturing schedule, order preparation, fulfillment, and delivery coordination.
- Support customer communication regarding orders, delivery schedules, and general inquiries.
- Help ensure positive customer experience and timely response to customer needs.
- Support the team in ensuring efficient daily operations and meeting production schedules.
- Assist management with operational tasks and process improvements when needed
- High school diploma/GED preferred, but relevant food-production experience may substitute.
- 0–2 years of food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, pet-food production, meat processing, or similar experience preferred. Entry-level candidates can be trained.
- Basic understanding of GMP/CGMP, hygiene, sanitation, contamination prevention, allergen/cross-contact controls, and safe food handling. Food Handler certification is preferred or can be obtained after hiring.
- Ability to follow recipes/formulations, batch instructions, SOPs, weighing and measuring requirements, labeling, packaging, freezing/refrigeration, and inventory procedures.
- Ability to accurately complete production records, cleaning logs, temperature records, ingredient lot/traceability records, and other required documentation.
- Ability to safely operate and clean food-production equipment after documented training.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive production activities, and safely lift/move materials consistent with the job description.
- Must recognize and immediately report deviations, damaged ingredients, temperature excursions, sanitation issues, labeling errors, or other potential food-safety/quality concerns.
- Must successfully complete company-required GMP, sanitation, food safety, SOP, safety, and job-specific training before performing applicable activities independently.
